Radunz, Skeesick Receive MCAC Weekly Honors

Sophomore offensive lineman Nick Radunz and sophomore kicker Spencer Skeesick were both honored by the MCAC for their season-opening performances. Radunz was named the MCAC Western Division Lineman of the Week. Skeesick was named the MCAC Western Division Special Teams Player of the Week.

Radunz is a returning All-American for the Wildcats and was elected a team captain in 2019. The Becker, Minn. product helped power an NDSCS offense that put 38 points on Saturday against Fond du Lac, 17 of which came in the decisive fourth quarter.

The offensive line paved the way for freshman Desean Phillips to rush for 107 yards and a touchdown. As a team, the Wildcats rushed for 174 yards.

Skeesick hit a 34-yard field goal in the fourth quarter and was a perfect 5-for-5 on PATs for the Wildcats. The field goal is a new career-best for Skeesick. The Moses Lake, Wash. native also handles kickoff duties for NDSCS.

The Wildcats will be back in action on Saturday, visiting MCAC rival Itasca CC. That game is slated for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
