Eric Issendorf NDSCS ‘95
NDSCS Head Football Coach
Coach Issendorf is in his first year at North Dakota State College of Science. He was hired in January after spending the last 13 years as an elementary physical education instructor in the Fargo Public School district and while coaching, the last 3 years, at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.
During his three years at Concordia under current head coach Terry Horan, the team finished 23-7 in the 2nd ranked Division 3 football conference in the country and coached 5 All-Conference Defensive Lineman.
Prior to coaching at Concordia, Coach Izz was an assistant coach for 10 seasons, at North Dakota football powerhouse Fargo South High School. Coach Izz was a part of 4 ND state championship teams for the Bruins as defensive line coach ’05-’09 and linebackers/defensive coordinator ’10-’14. During his time he helped produce 61 All-State players and from those teams, 4 former Bruins went on to win FCS National Championships.
Coach Izz spent 2 years as a student assistant coach at North Dakota State University ’01-'02 and 6 years total in the NDSU Athletic department. He was a part of NDSU’s transition from Division 2 to FCS football.
Coach Izz also was a former player for the Wildcats ’92-’93 and was a student-assistant coach NDSCS ’93 & ‘95, for current NDSCS President John Richman. In 1992, the Wildcat football team won the first-ever Bowl Game in school history and that team was inducted into the Wildcat Athletic Hall of Fame, in 2012.
Coach Issendorf has been married to his wife Trisha for 19 years and has two sons Isaiah a.k.a Izzy (16) and Gabriel a.k.a. G$ (12).
