Cats Punch Their Ticket to Charleston

The #15 NDSCS Volleyball team punched their ticket to the national tournament with two hard fought wins over Region 9 champion North Platte Community College in North Platte, NE.

On Friday night, the Cats went the distance with the Knights defeating them in the first, fourth, and fifth set to secure the victory. The offensive attack was led by Gabby Hahn, Lily Pyle, and Victoria Czech with 19, 14, and 13 kills respecitvely. Tatum Pickar registered 40 digs in the back row and setter Lexi Hansch recorded 58 assists and surpassed the 1,000 assist mark for the season.

On Saturday morning, NDSCS dropped the first and then rallied to defeat North Platte in three straight sets to claim the District G Championship. The Cats were paced by Lily Pyle on offense who had 15 kills with a hitting percentage of .359. Gabby Hahn picked up 12 kills, while Elizabeth Lyons and Haydee Krieg each tallied 9 kills. Tatum Pickar went for 44 digs and Lexi Hansch dished out 51 assists.

NDSCS will travel to Charleston, WV on November 13th and compete in the NJCAA DII National Tournament on the 16-18th. Check back for more details regarding game times and matchups.
