North Dakota State College of Science retained its nationally-ranked status, coming in at No. 19 in the Week 6 NJCAA D2 Top 20 Poll, released on Monday afternoon.
NDSCS (13-4) has won 11 of its last 13 matches, including four straight wins overall. In fact, the Cats have won 23 of their last 26 sets. The Wildcats are essentially tied atop the Mon-Dak Conference standings with Bismarck State, but the Cats hold the head-to-head tiebreaker.
Parkland (IL) remained at No. 1 nationally behind a 34-1 record entering the week. Defending national champion Coffeyville (KS) comes in at No. 2. Catawba Valley (NC), Glendale (AZ) and Johnson County (KS) round out the top five.
NDSCS will visit Lake Region State on Oct. 2 and host Minnesota State-Fergus Falls on Oct. 4. The Wildcats are entering a brutal stretch that will see them play 10 games in 15 days.
