Jane Passa will enters her 21st year as head coach of the NDSCS volleyball program in 2019. With a coaching record of 556-241, she has had 20 consecutive winning seasons.

Passa finished the 2018 season with a Mon-Dak Conference title, a Region XIII Championship and District G Champions and a National Tournament Appearance in West Virginia.  The Cats finished with a record of 31-4.

During her tenure as head coach, the Wildcats have won conference titles in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018.  They were Region XIII champions in 2001, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018.

Passa led the Wildcats to their first National Tournament in 2001 as NJCAA Division II National runners-up and District G and Region XIII champions. In 2007 the Wildcats finished with a Mon-Dak Conference title, as well as District O and Region XIII titles and a birth to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.  In 2018 the Wildcats finished with a Mon-Dak Conference title, as well as District G and Region XIII titles and a birth to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

Coach Passa was selected Mon-Dak Conference Coach of the Year in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018 along with Region XIII Coach of the Year in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018. She was named District G Coach of the Year in 2001, 2018 and District O Coach of the Year in 2007.

The Wildcats are on pace for another successful season in 2019 with goals of competing for the Region XIII championship and another trip to the national tournament.

Coach Passa came to NDSCS after teaching and coaching at North Dakota State University (NDSU), where she helped lead the Bison to runner-up in the 1998 National Division II Collegiate Women's Volleyball Tournament. She also served as an assistant coach at Minnesota State University-Moorhead for two years. Passa earned her bachelor's degree from the University of North Dakota and her master's degree from NDSU.

Along with coaching and teaching duties at NDSCS, Passa serves as chair of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department. She and her husband, Jayme, have two daughters.
