Baseball Has Two Named To All-Conference Team
The NDSCS Baseball team concluded their season this past weekend at the MCAC tournament where the Wildcats would defeat Rainy River before falling to Alexandria Tech and Itasca to end their season.
The Wildcats had two players named to the Mon-Dak All-Conference Team:
Carter Maasjo (INF/RHP, SO., Wheatland, ND) was named to the All-Conference team as both an infielder as well as a pitcher for the 'Cats. Maasjo went 35-109 (.321) on the year with 21 runs scored, 31 RBIs, and six home runs. Maasjo's six home runs on the season are a school record. Maasjo had an impressive .940 fielding percentage as well. As a pitcher, he went 2-2 on the year with a 4.12 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP while striking out 12 batters.
Cale Diermier (RHP, FR., Fort Worth, TX) was named to the All-Conference team as a pitcher. Diermier appeared in 12 games this year with a 5.95 ERA, 1.85 WHIP, and 41 strikeouts.
