#2 Wildcats Victorious in SD

The #2 ranked Wildcats picked up two more wins on Wednesday as they played Dakota Wesleyan JV in Mitchell, SD.  

The first game was a pitcher's duel where Ella Stewart went all seven innings giving up only four hits and one run (unearned).  Stewart struck out 14 batters in the outing to help her pick up her sixth win on the season.  Emma Johnson went 1-3 at the plate producing two RBIs that scored Rayelle Cooley and Caitlyn Dannenfelzer for the Wildcats' only two runs.  The defense for the Wildcats was key to them earning a 2-1 victory in the first game.

The Wildcats used a big sixth inning in game two where they scored four runs while down a run to take a 6-3 lead which ended up being the final score.  Stewart picked up her second win on the day and Emma Johnson got her second save on the year.  Blythe Proulx hit a solo home run in the game while Caitlyn Dannenfelzer had a two RBI game.  Kendyl Moss, Makalya LaChance, and Emma Johnson each had an RBI as well.  

NDSCS will host Lake Region State College on Saturday at 1 and 3PM for Sophomore day.
