Coach Friskop is entering his third season as the Head Coach for NDSCS Women's Basketball in the 2026-27 season.

In year two, the Wildcats had a 23-6 overall record finishing runner-up in both the conference season as well as the Region XIII Championship.  NDSCS had three players receive All-Conference nods with Maggie Westling (MVP), Lolo Carlow (1st team), and Ava Boyes (2nd team).  Along with being named conference MVP, Westling was named 3rd team All-American for NJCAA DI Women's Basketball.  Westling broke both the all-time scoring record and the rebounding record at NDSCS.

In his first year, the Wildcats achieved a 24-8 record where they won the 2024 Buster Gilliss Mon-Dak Tip-off Classic champions, Mon-Dak Conference champions, and they also were the Region XIII champions.  Friskop coached two All-Conference athletes in Maggie Westling (1st team) and Demi Van Gils (2nd team).  Westling also went on to be named an NJCAA All-American Honorable Mention recipient.  Friskop was named the Mon-Dak Conference Coach of the Year as well as the Region XIII Coach of the Year.

Friskop came to NDSCS from the University of Minnesota Crookston where he was an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach for nine years, and the Head Women's Golf Coach for seven years.

Friskop graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2014 with a B.S. degree in Kinesiology.  Friskop graduated again from the University of North Dakota with his M.S. in Kinesiology in 2017.
