NDSCS Soccer Gets First Win in Program History
Wildcats Defeat Anoka Ramsey 4-1
On Saturday, the NDSCS Wildcats Soccer program made history by recording their first program victory with a 4-1 win over Anoka-Ramsey.
The match saw Anoka-Ramsey get on the board early when they scored the game's first goal just 6:16 into the game. The Wildcats bounced back quickly when Manita Monger scored her first career goal which was assisted by Maleah Ramsey. The teams would go into halftime tied up at 1-1.
The second half was all Wildcats as Ramsey put one in the back of the net (assisted by Monger) to put the 'Cats up 2-1. Monger would go on to score two more times in the half (both assisted by Ramsey) to give her the hat-trick and end the game with a 4-1 win.
Monger scored three goals on five shots while Ramsey scored one goal on seven shots. Ramsey had three assists while Monger had one. Rosetta Sunday added two shots as well. Riley Hunter was solid in net where she made eight saves on nine shots.
The Wildcats will have their final regular season game on Saturday when they travel to Anoka-Ramsey.
